The experience of LIFE Montserrat has become of interest to managers and technicians in charge of Mediterranean natural areas facing similar challenges. They can come to know first-hand the actions carried out here and then apply similar measures to their sites.
On July 9, three technicians from VAERSA, a public company providing technical assistance to the Wildlife Service of the Valencian Government, came to visit the LIFE Montserrat.
With the project already completed, the visitors could see the different conservation actions that have been implemented and decide which of them could be feasible to use in their area. The experience of LIFE Montserrat is therefore useful for new initiatives focused on shared objectives: the preservation of Mediterranean ecosystems less vulnerable to fires and more adapted to climate change.
